Bathroom refresh
The big joke of my creative space is the bathroom, more over the bathtub. It’s never going to get used, so I decided to use it for storing my pillow forms and throw pillows.
Today I'll be taking the pillows out of the bathtub in preparation for some more work to be done to the walls. This bathroom is the last one to get its DIY touch from Coffee Elf Construction. Sadly, we've been putting it off because so many other projects in this house took precedence. Well, no more. The walls are being prepared for painting, but the wall prep is a major job by itself. While my hand and wrist are in that bougie brace, making it impossible for me to sew, Coffee Elf Construction is hard at work upgrading the bathroom that's connected to my Secret Garden sewing room, Mission Control (that's my office nook), and Little Garden sewing annex. We created the little garden out of the space that was earmarked to be my Mermaids and Seashells workshop. I retired in September 2022 from my business of making plant-based soaps and lotions, which gave me the opportunity to turn the entire upstairs suite into my dream sewing and creative space. Now I have acquired a few more toys and tools since moving to North Carolina, and I have room for them all.
Creating my dream sewing and creative space has been a journey. No one does things like this overnight, it takes planning and tweaking along the way.
