Product Review
drybar straight shot blow drying flat iron
I’ve seen this gadget flooding the shelves of TJ Maxx and Marshall’s and I’ve read the reviews on Reddit. I know that this product retails for $179.00, which by the way is much less than the swanky Dyson blow dryer. I found this product for what I consider to be a very good price
My osteoarthritis is not going to get better and I want to get the job done (blow dry and blow out my hair) while not being in pain to achieve the desired outcome.
The process was the same as when I do a blowout on my wavy hair, divided into sections and clip each section out of the way while blowing out each section of hair. Afterwards I’d have to pull out my flatiron and go over my hair. It left my hands and wrists hurting and I felt overheated. Not how one wants to start their day.
Giving the drybar straight shot blow drying flat iron a test drive and I have to say that I was immediately impressed. I sectioned my hair and clip the sections up like I’d do when I did a blowout with my blow dryer, then I go to work using the drybar blow drying flat iron. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly it dried and smoothed each section of my hair. I spent a quarter of the time getting my hair straightened and styled to my liking and best of all I did it using my right hand while my left hand is in that bougie brace. This right here is going to be a game changer for people with any type of arthritic issues. It’s easy to hold and use plus it’s not heavy or cumbersome. There are two heat settings and the temperature isn’t going to make you worry that you’ll burn your scalp of fingers.
Side note- I use a silicone mat for resting my heated hair appliances. My countertop is slick and I don’t want my hair appliances to slide off of the countertop or possibly damage them.
As with all of my reviews, I’ve purchased this product and have not been compensated from any outside entity.
