Pantry Temperature & Vent Covers
The eyes have it.
This is the first telltale sign that your pantry it “too warm”. I swear our pantry has its own microclimate, one that’s is separate from the rest of our home. Not only has the heat duct into the pantry been closed, it’s also been blocked. With the pantry door closed the heat will build up in there making it extremely warm, much like a hothouse for plants. We have a cat, so no leaving the door open is not a good idea.
Remember to keep your produce and pantry staples such as flour, rice, potatoes, winter squash, nuts, legumes, garlic, shallots and onions in a dark, cool dry place. Flour can go rancid and or develop weevils. Be sure to store it properly.
This vent cover is a magnetic one, we use them in a few places in our home during various times of the year.
